With Connor Bryant
Presented by Connor Bryant, who holds a BA in Psychological Science (Hons) and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling with Distinction, this webinar focuses on his work developing a mental health survey specifically designed for individuals with complex communication needs. Drawing on his academic background and practical experience, Connor will discuss how he crafted this survey to ensure it is both accessible and effective for people with communication challenges.
Throughout the session, Connor will share his approach to adapting existing mental health interventions for individuals with varying communication abilities. He will highlight the limitations of standard interventions when applied to this population and explore how innovative adaptations can lead to more meaningful results. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the design process behind mental health assessments that emphasise inclusivity and accessibility.
Connor will provide practical examples of how tools like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices can be adapted, as well as how collaborative care approaches can be enhanced to support these individuals more effectively, as well as an insight into his own developed tools and means of facilitation.
